About this optional track

Use the player as background audio if it suits your work. VeloTools does not claim that this track treats anxiety, changes cortisol, or produces a guaranteed physiological response.

Playback notes

The track is streamed as FLAC, so playback depends on browser support and a network connection. Volume is controlled separately inside the player.

FLAC playback

FLAC is a lossless audio format. That describes how the file is encoded; it does not establish a stronger focus or relaxation effect than another format.

Use it as a preference

Choose this track, lofi, or an ambient loop by preference. Stop playback whenever it distracts you or when you need to stay alert to your surroundings.

Timed work, tasks, notes, and sound in one room

Focus Room combines a 25-minute work timer, short and long breaks, a task list, session notes, optional energy check-ins, and six ambient sound choices. The controls appear before this guide so you can start immediately.

25

25 / 5 / 15 timer

Start a focus session, take a short break, and use the longer break after a cycle. Flow Mode can add a five-minute extension when you choose it.

Tasks and notes

Select the task for the current session and keep a short note beside the timer instead of switching to another app.

Lofi and ambient sounds

Choose rain, lofi, café, forest, fire, or ocean audio, adjust its volume, or work in silence. The sounds are optional preferences, not medical treatments.

1–5

Energy check-ins

Record a simple before-and-after rating to review your own pattern over time. The rating is self-reported and is not a physiological measurement.

Common questions

Focus Room questions

What is the Pomodoro timer on this page?

It uses a 25-minute focus interval, a 5-minute short break, and a 15-minute long break. These are fixed product defaults, not a promise that one interval is optimal for every person or task.

Where are tasks, notes, and session records stored?

They are stored in this browser using localStorage. They do not sync between devices, and clearing site data removes them.

Do the sounds or breathing prompt provide a medical benefit?

No medical or performance outcome is claimed. They are optional pacing and background-audio features; skip either one if it is uncomfortable or distracting.

Does Focus Room work without an account?

Yes. The timer, tasks, notes, and local session record do not require an account. The optional streamed FLAC track requires a network connection when it is not already available to the browser.

From the builder: Focus Room as a boundary

Context-switching between build, ops, and support broke my work rhythm. Focus Room is the timer and ambient stack I leave open: fixed blocks, tasks, notes, optional check-ins, and no account. It records what I complete without claiming to measure cognition or health.
